Bare metal alloy body restoration
Winner 'Classic Car of the Year' 2010
Multiple Concours winner
Starting point for the restoration – a vehicle which had remained untouched for over 35 years, the chassis & mechanicals were rebuilt by the owners whilst we were entrusted to undertake the panel & paintwork restoration.
Much preparation work was undertaken to ensure panel alignment & apertures were correct.
With numerous layers of paint removed from the panels, significant repairs to the panelwork could be undertaken, panel splits repaired, perforated areas removed with new metalwork let in along with panel reshaping in order to remove previous damage and
achieve the correct factory panel profiles.
With 2 coats of etching primer, several coats of base primer followed by several coats of cellulose British Racing Green prior to being hand polished over several days once cured.
Polished, Fitted up & ready for detailing
